Anders Petersen

Anders Petersen is a German photographer from about the 1970's (the time he has his first exhibition) he especially took images in not normal area's. He released a set of books that had images of people from prison, a nursing house, and a mental hospital

I really like his work because of how well they're shot. The one of the left even though the composition isn't perfect it really works for the image and gives you a feel of what the characters in the image are like. The one on the right is a more traditional portrait but of someone who's had an interesting history. The amount of detail in the image is amazing and i think it's good that it captures all this detail. The use of an empty background really focuses all attention on the man in the image and the level of contrast and sharpness really draws your attention to the images.
